Re: Arresting Guide

And I'd be careful about coding too many of these objects lol. Whips, manacles, gags, blindfolds... might start attracting the wrong crowd ;)

Re: Arresting Guide

Well I believe at least on oldTI the idea was to gag and heavily restrain everyone so when a mage grabbed you with vines you could null it for bad RP. Now with the no-magic flag and icly there being guards watching I dunno if it's as necessary in most cases...

Re: Influence Points

This ties into a suggestion on the "Support" thread, but perhaps influence points could be spent to get some sort of ability to view pieces of the support network. IE getting an idea of who's working to support you and who's working against you.

Re: Support

Yah wimple - the issue I was getting at more was that you get to see the individual characters who support you, which could be used to identify the people in those guilds.

But yah otherwise I agree lol

Re: Influence Points

I'd advise strongly against paying interest for bank deposits, as I seem to remember this blowing up the money supply early on in oldTI... One suggestion for the overall structure - perhaps when you spend these points, the benefit you receive could still be scaled based on your support level. IE if ...

Re: Arresting Guide

I think part of the original thought was that gagging it prevented mages from casting spells supposedly. It'd be nice if that could be handled differently ICly - ie the presence of guards who would beat the crap out of you if you tried anything. I remember someone saying that on this incarnation of ...

Re: Arresting Guide

Presumably posting it here makes it open to OOC debate lol?

Was just going to suggest that placing people in a solitary cell and/or gagging them restricts their RP quite a bit. It'd be nice if either that's used sparingly or that those cases are dealt with swiftly...

Support

So Temi suggested starting a feedback thread for support. I had one suggestion to start things off: IMHO you shouldn't be shown who's supporting you (and perhaps it should only update periodically your rank). Basically, if you bribe someone with something for their support, I don't think you should ...

Re: Noble Seeking and Titled Backgrounds

I'd suggest something similar to mages where once the % of the active pbase playing a noble falls below a certain threshold then applications will open up. For achieving titled nobility through RP I think there's a pretty good system in place as it is - namely through the Seneschal and the Chancello...

Re: RP in the 3rd Person

I'm thinking more in terms of when things are directed at you than otherwise. Like "you feel sick" as opposed to "Geras feels sick." And if "you feel sick" is retained, "you says hello" should probably be retained over "Geras says hello" even if it is less grammatically correct. IMHO the game should...
